At least three people were killed and another one injured in road accidents in Munshiganj and Chattogram between Thursday night and Friday.
抖阴精品 correspondent in Munshiganj reported that a motorcycle rider was killed and his pillion rider was injured when the rider hit a road divider after losing control of the vehicle on the Dhaka-Maowa Expressway at Srinagar in Munshiganj on Friday.
Hasara highway police outpost inspector Kanchan Kumar Singh said that the deceased, Md Rafi, died on the spot, while the injured was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for treatment.
Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha reported that two people were killed after being crushed by a truck in Sonaichari Pakka Masjid KDS Logistics area on the Chattogram-Dhaka Highway on Thursday night.聽
The deceased were, Md Jasim Uddin, 38, hailed from Khulna district, and KDS security guard Mizanur Rahman, 60, hailed from the city鈥檚 Halishahar area.
According to witnesses, a Chattogram-bound truck ran over the victims while they were crossing the road on Thursday night, leaving Jasim dead on the spot.
People of the area took Mizanur to Sitakunda Health Complex where the attending doctors declared him dead.
Bar Aulia police station officer-in-charge Khokon Chandra Ghosh said that a case was filed with Sitakunda police station in this connection.
