The Independent University, Bangladesh organised the orientation programme for students of the Autumn 2024 semester at the its auditorium at Bashundhara in Dhaka on Thursday.
The IUB’s board of trustee’s chairman Didar A Husain attended the programme as chief guest, while the IUB’s registrar Md Anwarul Islam conducted a technical session, said a press release on Saturday.
Dean school of business and entrepreneurship Professor Meherun Ahmed, engineering, technology and sciences’ dean (acting) Habib Bin Muzaffar, school of environment and life sciences’ dean Professor Shah M Faruque, liberal arts and social sciences’ dean Professor Bokhtiar Ahmed, pharmacy and public health’s dean Professor JMA Hannan, and school of law dean Mohammad Nazmuzzaman Bhuian, among others, were also present at the programme.
Prof Assaduzzaman Khan, acting proctor, talked about compliance of rules and policies, general code of conduct and urged students to experience a free, productive university life.
Lima Chowdhury, deputy director and head of admission and financial aid, delivered the welcome remarks at the programme, which was was hosted by assistant director, admissions, Priyanka Dey,
The IUB Music Club performed at the event.
