A four-member fact-finding committee was formed on Sunday evening by the vice-chancellor of Dhaka University, Niaz Ahmed, to identify those involved in the violent incidents that took place on Dhaka University campus during student-led mass uprising between July 15 and August 5, 2024.

听Administrative action would be taken against those responsible.


The matter was announced in an urgent notice signed by the Deputy Registrar (Investigation) Ayub Ali of Dhaka University on Sunday evening.

The four-member committee is chaired by the acting dean of the Faculty of Law, Nakib Muhammad Nasrullah.

Other members of the committee include management department Professor Nadia Newaz Rimi, Dhaka University assistant proctor Shehereen Amin and deputy registrar, investigation, Ayub Ali.

The newly formed fact-finding committee has been requested to submit its report within 30 working days.
