Bangladesh Coast Guard members on Monday in two separate drives arrested a dacoit and a hoodlum with two firearms, seven rounds of ammunition and a large number of local weapons in Bhola.
A press release of the Coast Guard said that for several days, a group of dacoit led by Md Kamal and a hoodlum group led by Mosleh Uddin had been carrying out extortion, land grabbing and various misdeeds in Tulatali and Ilisha areas under sadar upazila of the district.
Two separate operations were conducted by the BCG Base Bhola under Bangladesh Coast Guard South Zone in coordination with Bangladesh Police in Rari Bari of South Dighaldi union and Ilisha Bazar under sadar of district.
The arrested were handed over to Bhola sadar model police station, the press release added.
