Biman Bangladesh Airlines has purchased state-of-the-art equipment as an initiative to enrich the ground service equipment fleet and increase capacity building based at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport third terminal.
For the development of ground handling capacity, initiatives have been taken to purchase equipment worth about Tk 1000 crore in various phases, said a press release on Wednesday.
Several pieces of equipment have already been added to the fleet. Six Brand New Belt Loaders newly imported from France have been added to the GSE fleet on Wednesday.
It noted that the GSE fleet previously had 20 belt loaders, with the addition of 6 new ones, the capacity has increased manifold.
