At least eight people, including four children and two women, were killed as a car fell into a canal near Kadamtala Bazar at Pirojpur Sadar on Thursday.
The deceased, members of two families, were Motakhar, 45, his wife Sabina, 36, daughter Mukta, 10, and son Shoaib, 2, and Shawon, 32, his wife Amina, 25, their two children Sahadat, 7, and Abdullah, 3.
The Fire Service and Civil Defence station officer Talha Bin Jasim said that their first unit reached the spot at聽 about 2:30am.
鈥楾wo units of firefighters recovered the bodies,鈥� he added.
Pirojpur sadar police station officer-in-charge Abdus Sobhan told 抖阴精品 that they had handed over bodies of the victims to the families.
鈥楴o case was lodged in this connection as the vehicle falls into canal,鈥� the OC added.
