The Dhaka University held a meeting with the University Grants Commission of Bangladesh and World Bank about issues, including the implementation of different development projects at the DU with the financial assistance from the WB at DU vice-chancellor鈥檚 meeting room on Sunday.
The DU VC Professor Niaz Ahmed Khan, pro-VC (Academic) Professor Mamun Ahmed, pro-VC (administration) Professor Sayema Haque Bidisha, treasurer Professor M Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, the UGC chairman Professor SMA Faiz, its members Professor Mohammad Tanzimuddin Khan and Professor Mohammad Anwar Hossen, World Bank senior education specialist TM Asaduzzaman, senior education adviser Md Mahamud Ul Hoque and project director Professor Asaduzzaman were present at the meeting, said a press release.
During the meeting, they discussed about various issues, including the聽聽 implementation of different development projects at the DU with the financial assistance from the World Bank.
Construction of a residential hall for DU female students, formation of a special fund for providing scholarship among financially challenged students, improving Wi-Fi network at the DU, development of the university medical centre and undertaking joint research and training programmes were also discussed in the meeting, the press release added.
