Anti-Corruption Commission arrested former director general of the Postal Department Sudhangshu Shekhar Bhadra in connection with a graft case.

He was arrested by a team led by deputy assistant director Nazir Akand on Tuesday night in the ACC case, said ACC deputy director (public relations) Md Akhtarul Islam.


‘He will be produce before the court,’ he added.

On August 20, ACC filed a case against Sudhangshu Shekhar Bhadra on charges of misappropriating over T k15 crore in funds allocated for the purchase of servers and UPS units under a government project.

The case, lodged by ACC’s assistant director Abul Kalam Azad, was registered at the commission’s integrated district office in Dhaka.
