
Rabindra University, Bangladesh on Wednesday held the orientation programme for the students of 2023-24 sessions at the Udayan Conference Hall of the RUB Academic Building 3 in Sirajganj, said a press release.
The programme began with the rendition of national anthem. After that, respects were paid to martyrs of the War of Independence and the martyred in the July-August 2024 uprising, and Nobel laureate poet Rabindranath Tagore.
The vice-chancellor of the RUB Professor SM Hassan Talukder was present as chief guest, while its treasurer Professor Feroz Ahmed attended the event as special guest.
Chairpersons of different department, proctorial body, and representatives of the students of the session also spoke at the programme.
The VC said, ‘You should qualify yourself through disciplined and planned studies.’
He also said that the more the reputation of the university increased, the more job opportunities would be created for the students, and the respect of the university teachers would also increase.
The orientation concluded with a cultural programme performed by the teachers and the students of university.
