
Professor M Moynul Haque has been appointed as new pro-vice-chancellor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University in Gazipur, said a press release on Monday.
Moynul Haque became a professor at the university in 2007 and has served as an adjunct and head of the seed science and technology department
He also held several key positions, including dean of the faculty of agriculture, registrar of BSMRAU, director of planning and development, director of outreach, and director of transport.聽
Moynul Haque earned his master鈥檚 degree in agronomy from Bangladesh Agricultural University in 1983, and later completed his PhD in agricultural science at BSMRAU in 1995.
He also worked as a scientific officer at the Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute for nearly 12 years, serving as a senior scientific officer during the 1995-96 periods.
Moynul Haque has numerous publications in national and international journals. He also supervises master鈥檚 and PhD student鈥檚 thesis and research work, added the press release.
