Professor Md Shahidul Islam has joined his office as vice-chancellor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science and Technology University in Pirojpur on Tuesday.
Prior to this job, he was a professor in Dhaka University鈥檚 Department of Mathematics, said a press release.
Shahidul Islam completed his Master鈥檚 degree at Dhaka University and took his PhD from the University of Gottingen, Germany.
He started his career at the Shahjalal University of Science and Technology in 1992. He joined Dhaka University in 1994 where became professor in 2010.
