A workshop on income tax and e-return was held at the initiative of the Teachers’ Association of Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology.
Vice-chancellor Professor Mahmud Abdul Matin Bhuiyan was chief guest at the workshop organised at the CUET academic council room on Tuesday.
Taxes Zone-3 (Chattogram) commissioner Md Manjur Alam and additional commissioner of taxes Md Shahidul Islam were special guests, said a press release.
The programme, held under the slogan ‘I will submit my return online, save time and cost’, was presided over by CUET Teachers Association president Professor GM Sadiqul Islam.
Md Shahjalal Mishuk, joint general secretary of CUET Teachers’ Association gave a welcome speech on the occasion and Md Asifur Rahman, publicity and social welfare secretary of the association and lecturer of Urban Strategy Department, moderated.
Deputy commissioner of taxes Md Jonayed Hossain presented the main article in the workshop.
