University Grants Commission of Bangladesh chairman SMA Faiz on Wednesday at a workshop urged the universities of the country to use the Apostille platform for online attestation of educational certificates of students seeking higher education and employment abroad.

Presided over by information management, communication and training department director Omar Faruq, foreign affairs ministry consular and welfare director general Shah Mohammad Tanvir Mansur also spoke at the event.

Students interested in higher education have to go to various offices for verification and information. If the certificate is attested by Apostille method, the students can be saved from these sufferings, said Tanzimuddin Khan.

Calling upon the concerned to carry out proper attestation of certificates by Apostille method, Anwar Hossen feared that if the country’s higher education institutions and UGC were not organised, the administrative work of these institutions would be at risk.
