The government formed a five-member search committee headed by Supreme Court appellate division justice Md Rezaul Haque to recommend names for the posts of chairman and commissioners of the Anti-Corruption Commission.聽
Cabinet Division issued a gazette notification on Sunday signed by Cabinet Secretary Sheikh Abdur Rashid in this regard.
The other members are High Court Justice Farah Mahbub, Comptroller and Auditor General of Bangladesh Md Nurul Islam, Bangladesh Public Service Commission chairman Professor Mobasser Monem, and immediate past cabinet secretary Md Mahbub Hossain.
According to the gazette notification, the committee will recommend two names against each of the three vacant posts of the ACC to the president for appointment.
On October 29, ACC chairman Mohammed Moinuddin Abdullah and two commissioners, Asia Khatun and Jahurul Haque, resigned from聽their posts amid demand for their resignation since聽 the fall of the Awami Legaue government on August 5.
