The internship orientation programme for the 8th batch students of faculty of animal science and veterinary medicine of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University was held at the Community Hall of the Student-Teacher Centre of the SAU in Dhaka on Sunday.
Presided over by Professor Md Abdul Latif, vice-chancellor of the SAU, University Grants Commission of Bangladesh member Professor Mohammad Tanzimuddin Khan was present as chief guest at the programme.
Tanzimuddin Khan said that internship was a good opportunity for veterinary students to enhance their talent and skills. 鈥極vercoming all obstacles, they will become skilled veterinary doctor and participate in the development of the country.鈥�
The VC said, 鈥楯ust the knowledge acquired in textbooks is not enough for students, there is a need to acquire practical knowledge, which is created through this programme.鈥�
SAU pro-VC Professor Md Belal Hossain, treasurer Professor Md Abul Bashar, and ASVM faculty dean Professor Md Jahangir Alam were present as special guests at the programme.
In this six-month internship programme, 100 students of the faculty will be divided into 20 groups and receive training in various government and private institutions, said a press release.
