
The Fashion Club of the BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology hosted an event titled The Future of Fashion: Innovations, Trends, and New Looks at the Multipurpose Hall of the BUFT on Tuesday.
The event featured discussions and a fashion show.
Bringing together students, industry professionals, and fashion enthusiasts, the event celebrated the fusion of creativity, sustainability, and innovation in fashion, said a press release on Wednesday.
Chairman of the BUFT鈥檚 board of trustees Faruque Hassan, former president of BGMEA Muzaffar U Siddique, founder chairman of BUFT鈥檚 BoT Sharmeen Hassan, BUFT pro-vice-chancellor Professor Ayub Nabi Khan, founder of Arka Studio Asad Sattar, among others, attended the event as special guest and inspired the audience with their insights on sustainability and empowering young designers.聽
Focusing on circular fashion and the concept of longevity through sustainable methods, students showcased their talents through collections in three categories titled Traditional Attire, Fusion Dresses, and Evening Gowns, emphasising sustainable practices in design.
The event also fostered dialogue on the future of the global fashion industry, underscoring sustainability as a driving force for innovation and change.
