
The 179th special basic training course organised for BCS (health) cadre officers inaugurated at Bangladesh Academy of Rural Development in Cumilla on Sunday.
Additional director general of the BARD, Abdul Karim, presided over the inaugural ceremony, said a press release. Â
At the beginning of the inaugural ceremony, the hopes were expressed for the speedy recovery of those who were martyred in the anti-discrimination student movement and those who were injured in various ways.
Mentioning the importance of basic training course, he said that from the course, government officials got the opportunity to gain practical knowledge about rules and regulations, and financial rules and regulations.
He added, ‘The trainees also get a proper idea about what to do for the people as government officials and their own availability.’
 BARD director (training) Abdullah Al Mamun also delivered speech at the ceremony, while the overall content of the course was informed to the trainees by the course director Shishir Kumar Munshi.
Md Riaz Mahmud, BARD deputy director, is serving as associate course director, while BARD joint director as the coordinator of the course.
