Retired schoolteacher Ishaq Ahmed died on Tuesday, He was 76.
He had suffered from old age complications for several months and sustained a major cardiac attack about three weeks ago. Ishaq, also a USA-expatriate, breathed his last at his village home of Sheikhpara under Dakshin Surma upazila in Sylhet at about 6-00am.
He left three sons and two daughters to mourn his death.
Ishaq was buried at the graveyard in his ancestral home in Sheikhpara village after Magrib prayers on Tuesday. His namaz-e-janaza was held on the Sheikhpara Shahi Eidgah Ground.
