The government has appointed four new members to the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission for three-years term.
The newly appointed BERC members are Syeda Sultana Razia, Md Gias Uddin Joarder, Md Abdur Razzak and Md Mizanur Rahman, said separate notifications issued by energy and mineral resources division of the ministry of power, energy and mineral resources on Tuesday.
According to the notification, services of the new members would be considered as the full-time and they won鈥檛 be able to remain involved in any profitable jobs during their job in the BERC.
The appointments were made in the public interest and the conditions of the appointment would be determined by the BERC Act, 2003, it added.
