Three people were killed and 10 others were injured when a bus crashed into a roadside tree on Dhaka-Chattagram highway in Chauddagram upazila of Cumilla district on Sunday.
The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Jashim Uddin, officer-in-charge of Miarbazar Highway Police station, said that the accident occurred in Ghangra area at about 12:30pm when the driver of the Hanif Paribahan bus lost control over steering, leaving three people dead on the spot and10 others injured.
The injured were taken to the Upazila Health Complex.
Police recovered the bodies and sent those to the local hospital morgue for post-mortem examinations.
