The public reform commission would recommend the abolition of police verification for government job recruitment and other processes.
On Tuesday, the commission chief Abdul Muyeed Chowdhury told journalists during a press meet at the secretariat.
Muyeed said, ‘Police verification is mandatory for recruitment and various other matters. We are recommending that it will no longer be required.’
Citing the example of England, he added that citizens must receive their passports without police verification.
