The public reform commission would recommend the abolition of police verification for government job recruitment and other processes.
On Tuesday, the commission chief Abdul Muyeed Chowdhury told journalists during a press meet at the secretariat.
Muyeed said, 鈥楶olice verification is mandatory for recruitment and various other matters. We are recommending that it will no longer be required.鈥�
Citing the example of England, he added that citizens must receive their passports without police verification.
