The government would announce the education commission within a few days and the commission would prepare a new education policy, the special assistant to the education ministry, Md Aminul Islam, said on Wednesday.
The commission would be formed with the people who are well-known, talented and skilled in the country, abroad and in the international arena, he said.
Aminul made the statements while attending the Daffodil International University鈥檚 dean鈥檚 award giving ceremony at its Savar campus, said a press release issued by the education ministry.
He said that the Education Policy 2010 was ineffective as most of this policy was not implemented.
鈥榃e will prepare a new policy considering the necessities of the overall sector,鈥� he continued.
The government is working to increase budget allocation for the sector, Aminul added.
