Yet another body of a teenager was recovered from a lake in Purbachal of Narayanganj鈥檚 Rupganj on Wednesday, just a day after the body of a college student was recovered from the same location.
The deceased is Shainur Rashid Kabbo, 16, son of Harunur Rashid of Kachukhet Bou Bazar area in Dhaka.
Earlier, 17-year-old Sujana Akter鈥檚 body was recovered from the same lake on Tuesday. She was a Class XII student of Bhashantek Govt College.
Kabbo was a class X student at Adamjee Cantonment Public School in the capital, Narayanganj Superintendent of police Pratyush Kumar Majumder said at a press briefing.
He said that police earlier recovered Sujana鈥檚 body where they also found a helmet and a purse on Tuesday.
鈥楩ire service divers recovered Kabbo鈥檚 body and a motorcycle submerged in the lake. We are primarily assuming they met with an accident due to speeding and fell into the lake,鈥� he said.
Police are working to find out whether there is any other reason for their deaths, he said.
Family members of the deceased said that Suzana and Kabbo were friends.
