A fire that broke out in a six-storey building in Block C of Banasree in Dhaka was doused within half an hour on Friday night.

At about 9:30pm, the firefighters doused the blaze that originated on the third floor of the building at 8:35pm, said Anwarul Islam, a warehouse inspector at Fire Service and Civil Defence.


Upon receiving the news, two units from the Baridhara and Khilgaon fire stations went to the spot to douse the fire, he said.

No casualties were reported, he said, adding that the cause of the fire could not be known immediately.
