Two separate delegations of Bangladesh University Grants Commission have visited Teesta University in Rangpur and the University of Information Technology and Sciences in Dhaka.


A three-member delegation led by the commission member Professor Mohammad Anwar Hossain inspected the temporary campus and permanent campus of Teesta University on Tuesday.

UGC Private University Division director Muhammad Sultan Mahmud Bhuiyan and assistant director BM Sohel Rana were present as members of the delegation.

During the visit, Professor Anwar Hossain recommended the university authorities to take necessary initiatives to ensure the quality of education, conduct research, promote mental and physical excellence of students and raise awareness about bullying.

On the other hand, a delegation of the UGC led by Dhaka University pharmaceutical chemistry department professor Shah Emran visited the University of Information Technology and Sciences.

The delegation inspected the approval of the bachelor of pharmacy programme prepared according to the outcome based education curriculum and the ability to conduct academic activities.

At that time, Nasima Akhter Khatun, deputy director of the Private University Division of UGC, and Moazzem Hossain, senior assistant director of the division, were present.
