
Two workshops on ‘Question paper preparation and moderation’ and ‘Public procurement act 2006 and rules 2008’ were held at the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University in Dhaka on Tuesday.
BSMMU pro-vice-chancellor (research and development) professor Md Mujibur Rahman Howlader was present as chief guest at the events, organised by the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell of the university, said a press release.
The welcome address was delivered by professor Jesmin Banu, director of IQAC, and the sessions were moderated by Tariq Reza Ali, additional director of IQAC.
The workshops were attended by BSMMU paediatrics faculty dean professor Md Atiar Rahman, medicine faculty dean professor Md Shamim Ahmed, basic sciences faculty dean professor Saif Ullah Munshi, registrar professor Md Nazrul Islam, assistant professor Abu Hena Helal Uddin Ahmed, and director of finance and accounts Gour Kumar Mitra, among others.
In the technical sessions, papers were presented by professor Tahmina Begum, councillor of BCPS, professor Nurunnahar Khanam from BSMMU, Abdul Wadud, deputy secretary of the ministry of road transport and bridges, and Ashik Ahmed Shibly, superintending engineer (procurement) of the ministry of housing and public works.
