The body of an unidentified man was recovered from a waterbody near South Sarighat in Sarighat Bazar of Jaintiapur Upazila in Sylhet on Saturday.
Jaintiapur Police Station officer-in-charge Abul Bashar Mohammad Badruzzaman said the identity of the deceased was yet to be ascertained.
Acting on information from local people, police retrieved the body around 12:00pm on Saturday.
Police are working to know the identity, he said.
