
The Mass Uprising Special Cell on Wednesday urged the families of the martyrs of the July-August student-led mass uprising and those who were injured in the movement to apply for inclusion in the government list by January 31.聽
The call came for those victims who have yet to include themselves in the list.
The cell, established under the Health Services Division in October, has already published the first draft of the list with 858 martyrs and 11,551 injured individuals, available at https://medical-info.dghs.gov.bd/public, said the cell in a press release.
The martyrs and the injured of the mass uprising who have not been included in the published first draft, victim families and the victims themselves have been requested to file applications.聽
The victims are requested to submit their applications along with their National Identity Cards or birth certificates, permanent and current addresses, mobile numbers, proof of hospital treatment and other relevant documents to any of the following offices: the office of the respective deputy commissioner, the office of the respective upazila nirbahi officer, the July Shaheed Smriti Foundation, or the Mass Uprising Special Cell.聽聽聽聽聽
Meanwhile, July Shaheed Smrity Foundation, launched with Tk100 crore from chief adviser Muhammad Yunus鈥檚 relief and welfare fund on September 17, had provided financial assistance to 2,229 victims.
At a press conference held at its office at the BSL Building in the capital on Wednesday, the foundation revealed that it had provided Tk 5,00,000 to each of the families of 628 martyred individuals and Tk 1,00,000 to 1,601 injured persons each as of December 31, 2024.聽聽聽聽
The foundation currently has Tk 61.87 crore out of Tk 109.20 crore donated to its fund.
