
The body of a Bangladeshi man, Zahur Ali, was handed over to the Bangladesh Police by the Indian police on Thursday evening, two days after he was found dead in the Gauranagar area under Khowai police station in Tripura State of India.
Zahur Ali, 60, a private company security guard and a resident of Pashchim Dulna village at Gazipur union under Chunarughat upazila in Habiganj, was reportedly found dead alongside a road at the Gauranagar under the Khowai police station on Tuesday morning.
Local union parishad chairman Mohammad Ali told 抖阴精品 that the body of Zahur Ali was handed over through Balla border at the Chunarughat upazila at around 5:30pm on Thursday.
He said that the Indian police handed over the body to the Bangladesh Police in the presence of the Indian Border Security Force and the Border Guard of Bangladesh.
Quoting the Indian police, Chunarughat police inspector Md Shafiqul Islam told 抖阴精品 that there were no injury marks on the body of Zahur Ali and he died of a heart attack.
Earlier, Zahur Ali came home from his workplace in Dhaka on Sunday and entered Indian territory on Monday crossing the border along the Guibil border outpost of BGB at the upazila, according to the BGB.
