Former Uttara East police station officer-in-charge Shah Alam on Thursday afternoon fled from the same police station hours after his arrest.

Uttara East police station officer-in-charge Habibur Rahman said that former OC fled from the police station when he was brought out of custody for producing him before a court.


‘The incident took place at about 12:10pm. The former OC used tactics to flee from the police station. All teams of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police are working to arrest him,’ the OC added.

He said that Shah Alam joined as OC of Uttara East police station on August 2 and the fled from the police station on August 5 after the fall of the Awami League government.
