Southeast University and Universiti Malaysia Perlis signed a letter of intent to promote academic and research collaboration between the two institutions on Tuesday, said a press release on Wednesday.
The signing ceremony was graced by SEU vice-chancellor Professor Yusuf Mahbubul Islam and UniMAP vice-chancellor Professor Ts Zaliman Sauli.
SEU associate professor Md Maruf Hassan represented SEU as a delegate at the event.
This strategic partnership aims to strengthen collaboration in joint academic programmes and research initiatives.
It leverages the expertise and resources of UniMAP鈥檚 Centre of Excellence for Advanced Computing and faculty of electronic engineering and technology alongside SEU鈥檚 capabilities. Key areas of focus include advanced computing, semiconductor technology, cybersecurity, and data science.
Yusuf Mahbubul Islam highlighted the transformative potential of this collaboration, while Zaliman Sauli mentioned the significance of fostering global academic partnerships.
This collaboration is expected to drive innovation, enhance academic and research opportunities, and contribute significantly to global education and research initiatives, benefiting students and faculty alike.
