University Grants Commission of Bangladesh chairman professor SMA Faiz on Tuesday emphasised the need to increase awareness about cyber security to protect personal, official, and state data.
He made the call at a workshop on digital signatures jointly organised by the controller of certifying authorities鈥� office and UGC at the commission auditorium in Dhaka, said a press release.
Professor Faiz noted that while digital technology had brought comfort to human life, it also posed security risks, underscoring the importance of cyber security awareness. 鈥榃e entered the digital age much earlier, and everyone must take responsibility for their own security.鈥�
He expressed hope that the workshop would facilitate secure data exchange among government organisations.
UGC member professor Md Saidur Rahman and UGC secretary Md Fakhrul Islam, among others, attended the event as special guests.
