The police recovered the body of a cloth trader from near a bridge at Shibpur upazila of Narsingdi on Wednesday morning.
The victim is Kabir Ahmed, 35, son of Alim Uddin of Dhanaiya village under Shibpur upazila.
According to the police and family, Kabir, a cloth trader, was caught by 鈥榤uggers鈥� while returning home on motorcycle from Shibpur Bazar after work at around 9:30pm
Family members said that he was talking to his family on the mobile phone at that time.
Later, locals found his body lying under a bridge in the area on Wednesday morning.
Shibpur model police officer-in-charge Afzal Hossain said, 鈥業t is initially suspected that the victim was killed in an attempt to steal his used motorcycle and mobile phone.鈥櫶�
鈥楬e had multiple stab wounds on his body. Police recovered the body and sent it to the morgue,鈥� he added.听
