Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University鈥檚 pro-vice-chancellor (research and development) and professor of conservative dentistry and endodontics department Md Mujibur Rahman Hawlader has been elected as president while Professor Md Abul Hasan, head of conservative dentistry department at Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital, secretary general of the newly formed committee of Bangladesh Endodontics Society.
A special general meeting of the BES was held at Shaheed Dr Milton Hall in BSMMU in Dhaka on Saturday. Members of the new committee were elected through voting at the meeting, said a press release.
The other office bearers are treasurer ANM Nazmul Haque, director (dental) of the directorate general of health services, vice-presidents Professor Md Shafiullah, Sabrina Haque, assistant professor of conservative dentistry and endodontics department of BSMMU, Md Shahidul Hasan, Mahmud Hossain Kallol, Abdur Rahim, Monira Ferdousi and Salma Zebin, joint secretaries Professor SMA Kader Rubel, Raihena Nahar, organising secretary Md Asaduzzaman, Fahad AA Karim and Hasan Ali.
Besides, the body got science affairs secretary, office secretary, press and publication secretary executive members, general members and others.
