The Southeast University held the 8th convocation at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Centre of Purbachal in Dhaka on Thursday.
Foreign affairs adviser Md Touhid Hossain chaired the convocation and conferred degrees upon the graduating students, said a press release.聽
Professor SMA Faiz, chairman of the University Grants Commission of Bangladesh, delivered the convocation speech.
Different departments鈥�1922 students attended the convocation.
Md Touhid Hossain presented the chancellor鈥檚 gold medals, while the SEU vice-chancellor Professor Yusuf Mahbubul Islam awarded the VC Gold Medals to the recipients.聽
Rezaul Karim, chairman of the SEU鈥檚 board of trustees, emphasised the importance of ethical leadership, urging graduates to reflect on their priorities beyond material success.
The VC Yusuf Mahbubul Islam and pro-VC Professor M Mofazzal Hossain also addressed the event, which was conducted by SEU registrar Md Anwarul Islam.聽
The ceremony was attended by members of the BoT, academic council and syndicate along with VCs of various universities, among others.
