The government has appointed Reazul Islam as chairman of the Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha for the next two years.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification in this regard.
His appointment is contingent upon resigning from any other professions, business, or employment with any government, semi-government, private institutions, or organisations.
Reazul has been serving as a Rajuk member and the president of the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh.
He is a former president of the pro-Bangladesh Nationalist Party engineers鈥� organization the Association of Engineers Bangladesh.
In a separate notification, the public administration ministry also cancelled the contractual appointment of the incumbent chairman of Rajuk, retiured major general Md Siddiqur Rahman Sarkar.
Siddiqur was appointed as chairman on a contractual basis on April 8, 2023.
After the interim government came to power in August past year, his appointment was cancelled on September 19.
