The ‘Shabdhane Online-A’ campaign, a joint initiative of JAAGO Foundation and TikTok, has reached significant milestones in Bangladesh in promoting online safety and digital hygiene awareness among the youth.

With the active involvement of youth ambassadors from across the country, the campaign has reached over 100,000 youths, educating them about the importance of online safety and responsible digital behaviour, said a press release.


Launched in 2022, the ‘Shabdhane Online-A’ campaign marked the beginning of its third phase in late 2024 with a youth ambassador training camp.

Following the camp, youth ambassadors conducted knowledge-sharing sessions in 64 districts of Bangladesh. Under the youth ambassador campus activation programme, ambassadors visited 256 educational campuses across the country.

The culmination of these efforts was the national online safety dialogue, held in Dhaka, where key stakeholders – government representatives, journalists, researchers, content creators, IT experts, and youth ambassadors – attended.
