
A case was filed on Tuesday night over the alleged attack on the police during an anti-rape protest in front of the InterContinental Hotel on the same day.
Confirming the matter, Ramna police station officer-in-charge Golam Faruk told 抖阴精品 on Wednesday that the police filed the case at about 10:00pm on Tuesday against 12 named and 70-80 unnamed students over the incident.
The Dhaka Metropolitan Police on Tuesday revealed that seven policemen were injured in the attack by a group of protesters.
According to the case statement, the police personnel present on the spot requested the protesters not to create obstacles on the road but the protesters attacked the police and started behaving rudely and violently.
The protesters pre-planned and conspired to create an illegal rally with batons and brickbats, the statement read.
On Tuesday, the police charged batons on the protesters beside the InterContinental Hotel near the state guest house Jamuna, now the official residence of chief adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus, at about 3:00pm during their march towards Jamuna to hand over a memorandum comprising their nine demands.
