The Chittagong Port Authority on Tuesday urged the city dwellers to beat waterlogging and plastic pollution for securing public health.
The CPA and related institutions were working relentlessly to reduce the city鈥檚 waterlogging and prevent plastic pollution, said a press release.
To increase public awareness about the issues, the port authority distributed leaflets among the people, including students, across the city on the day. CPA鈥檚 member (harbour and marine) Captain Ahmed Amin Abdullah, chief hydrographer, secretary and senior officials were present in the distribution ceremony.
