A youth was killed when lightning struck him at Bagachattar village under Langadu in Rangamati on Monday.
The deceased, Jabed Ali, 20, was a resident of Ward 6 of Bagachattar union of the upazila.
The police said that the lightning struck Jabed Ali around 1.30pm while he was working at his agriculture land at the village, said Ferdous Wahid, officer-in-charge of Langadu police station.
People of the area rescued him and taken to a Longadu hospital where on duty doctor declared him dead, said Mostafa Monir, doctor of the hospital.
