Government officials and employees performed their duties as last day before the holy Eid-ul-Fitr on Thursday.
The government employees will enjoy a nine-day holiday from Friday to April 5.
Eid-ul-Fitr, the biggest religious festival of the Muslims, will be celebrated on Monday or Tuesday, depending on the sighting of the moon.
This year, five days of holiday were given on the occasion of Eid. Friday is the holiday for Shab-e-Qadr. This time, the Eid-ul-Fitr holiday will start from Saturday, and the five-day holiday will continue until April 2.
As the government has issued an executive order, declaring April 3 a public holiday in observance of Eid-ul-Fitr, the offices will resume on April 6, following the weekly holidays on April 4 and 5.
