Legal Counsel, a corporate law firm, recently published a booklet titled ‘Foreign Direct Investment: The Legal Framework’, said a press release on Saturday.

The booklet was published marking the Bangladesh Investment Summit 2025 scheduled to begin on April 07.

The booklet is designed to offer potential foreign investors a comprehensive, 360-degree perspective of the country’s legal framework governing trade, commerce and investment, said the release.

It includes labour and employment laws, taxation, foreign exchange regulations, intellectual property rights, real-estate laws, contract enforcement, data privacy regulations and others.

Additionally, it provides an in-depth analysis of the various business establishment options available to foreign investors, including locally incorporated companies, branch offices and liaison offices.

The booklet also covers available mechanisms, including access to the court system in Bangladesh.

It is the third publication from the ‘Quest’ series (a pro-bono publication series of Legal Counsel), which is available for download in softcopies from the website of Legal Counsel.
