The University of Dhaka authorities have again decided to restrict vehicular movement at seven entry points on the university campus from today.

The DU authority took the decision on Sunday, said a notice issued by the proctor鈥檚 office.


For the overall safety of students, vehicle movement on the university campus will be regulated again from Monday, following the end of the Ekushey Book Fair and Ramadan, said the notice.

As per the notice, on Friday, Saturday and public holidays from 3:00pm to 10:00pm and on regular working days from 6.30pm to 10:00pm entry to the campus will be restricted at the points, including Shahbagh, Doel Square, Burn Unit, Shibbari Crossing, Fuller Road, Palashi Intersection and Nilkhet.

The notice further stated that, during these times only vehicles with a University of Dhaka sticker, emergency services such as ambulances, doctors, patients, journalists, ride-sharing vehicles, food delivery vehicles, online shopping deliveries, and other government vehicles will be allowed to enter the campus.

Public transport and heavy vehicles will always be restricted from entering the campus, the notice added.
