
Bangladesh Meteorological Department has predicted rains at one or two places in five divisions including Dhaka of the country in next 24 hours commencing 9:00am on Wednesday.
‘Rains or thunder showers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty wind are likely to occur at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions,’ said a Met office bulletin.
During this period, weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country, according to the bulletin.
Besides, a mild heat wave is sweeping over the districts of Faridpur, Sirajganj, Feni and Jashore and it may continue, reads it.
Day temperature may remain nearly unchanged and night temperature may rise slightly over the country.
Meanwhile, the Well-Marked Low over Southwest Bay and adjoining Westcentral Bay moved Northwards and now lies over Westcentral Bay and adjoining Southwest Bay at 6:00am on Wednesday.
It is likely to move northwards during next 12 hours and thereafter likely to move north-northeastwards. Trough of low lies over West Bengal and adjoining area.
