Today is the 86th birthday of Rebeka Mohiuddin, one of the organisers of the Liberation War and a founder of Mahila Parishad.
She was the wife of language movement hero, Liberation War organiser and parliamentarian late Mohiuddin Ahmed, said a press release.
Rebeka Mohiuddin was born in Faridpur on April 10 in 1939.
On the occasion, several programmes will be held in Dhaka, Mathbaria and Lakarta in Shariatpur.
Besides, a prayer session will be offered at her grave at Martyred Intellectual Graveyard in Mirpur at 10:30am, marking the day.
Her colleagues, friends and relatives are requested to attend the programmes.
