A metropolitan magistrate court in Dhaka on Tuesday allowed the police to take the manager and a staff of Apon Coffee House in the capital鈥檚 Khilgaon area in custody for one day for interrogation in a case allegedly for beating a woman at the coffee shop on April 11.
The police arrested the coffee house manager Al-Amin and a staff Shuvo Monday afternoon and Rampura police station sub-inspector filed a case in connection with the incident that went viral on social media, Rampura police station officer-in-charge Ataur Rahman Akanda said.
He said that the police filed the case as they were yet to find out the victim.
The police and locals said that the coffee shop staff members beat the woman after she had reportedly misbehaved with other customers at the shop.
