Bangladesh Neonatal Forum held a two-day 7th International Conference 2025 with the determination to ensure the future diagnosis of new-borns and the most modern medical services, concluded at the Bangladesh China Friendship Conference Centre in Dhaka on Thursday.聽聽

Two workshops were held on the day before the conference on neonatal nutrition and how to learn research papers, said a press release.


In the conference, 721 neonatal experts and 4 foreign experts from all over the country presented their scientific papers. The theme of the conference was Quality newborn care at facility and home: a pathway to healthier future.

National Professor MQ-K Talukder was chief guest at the inaugural ceremony of the conference. UNICEF deputy Bangladesh representative Emma Brigham and BNFA founding president Professor Nazmun Nahar were the special guests. BNFA President Professor Mohammad Monir Hossain presided over the event.

Secretary general of the forum Professor Sanjay Kumar Dey and its vice-president Professor Sukhmoy Kangsa Banik delicered speeches at the ceremony.

Unicef, Save the Children, Projhanmo, Research Foundation, Icddr鈥檅 Orbis and Noora Health also presented their research at the event.

After the inaugural ceremony, a policy session was held.聽聽 The keynote address was delivered by Professor Dr Sanjay Kumar Dey.

The chief guest of the event was Dr Md Sarwar Bari, secretary, health education and family welfare department, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, which was preside over by Professor Dr Md Monir Hossain, BNF president, and the vote of thanks was be given by Professor Dr Md Abdul Mannan, BNF vice-president.

Bradford L Therrell, director, US National Newborn Screening and Global Resource Centre and Carmencita D Padilla, national scientist, National Academy of Science and Technology, Philippines and emeritus professor college of medicine, University of the Philippines Manila also attende the session.
