A section of students of Bangladesh Agricultural University blocked the Dhaka-Mymensingh rail line for about an hour Saturday night, expressing solidarity with some protesting students of Dhaka University.

The DU students held a token hunger strike on their campus Saturday afternoon, demanding the reform of the Bangladesh Public Service Commission and punishment for the people involved in the question paper leak.

Following their strike, the BAU students blocked the rail line at Jabbar intersection on their campus at around 8:45pm on Saturday.

At that time, Agnibina Express had been going to Dhaka from Tarakandi, said Mymensingh rail station master Nazmul Haque Khan said.

He later confirmed that the students withdrew the blockade from the rail line at around 10:00pm.

The passengers on the line suffered due to the disruption.
