Rangpur Division women’s cricket team manager Arifa Jahan Bithi – who was dismissed from her role following her participation in helping the protestors during the recent Anti-Discrimination Student Movement in the country – has been reinstated.
Bithi confirmed the matter on her Facebook profile on Thursday.
‘I have been reinstated as the manager of the Rangpur Division women’s cricket team. Gratitude to all those who supported me on Facebook. I will always be grateful to you,’ she said.
Bithi had previously shared on her profile that she was dismissed from her post due to helping the students in the protest.
‘Due to helping Abu Sayeed’s [among the first killed during the protest] family and the students with water and biscuits, I have been removed from my post from the Rangpur Division women’s cricket team. They told me this was the reason while being dismissed. Cricket is my second family,’ she had written.
