
Shakib Al Hasan continued his rich vein of form with bowling as he claimed five wickets to take Surrey on the verge of the victory in their County Championship match in Taunton on Thursday.
Shakib, who claimed 4-97 in the first innings, snared 5-96 in the second innings to help Surrey bowl out Somerset for 224 runs.
After Shakib鈥檚 nine-wicket haul in the match, Surrey were set 221-run target for the victory.
Shakib started the party with the wicket of Archie Vaughan, the son of former England captain Michael Vaughan.
He then sliced the middle order of the Somerset, taking the wicket of Tom Abell, James Rew and captain Lewis Gregory in a gem of spin bowling.
Craig Overton and Tom Banton resisted, sharing 71-run for the last wicket stand, which helped Somerset take their total past 200.
Shakib bowled Banton for 46 to wrap up the innings. Overton remained unbeaten on 49.
